Phoebe Charpentier is a PhD student researching the capacity for arts programming to generate family and community connections through prison walls. She is dedicated to promoting equitable and anti-colonial practices in museums with a particular focus on art museums. Phoebe earned her MA in Art History and Certification in Museum Studies from the University of Arizona in 2025, thesis titled The Canon of Contemporary Native American Women Artists: An Examination of Exhibition History and Social Contexts. Phoebe holds a BA in art history, anthropology, and English; she currently lives in Tucson, Arizona.
