Research Interests/Topics: Building sustainable support structures for artists (visual and otherwise) through the facilitation of collaborative, community-oriented activities

Arts Background: I received a BA in Media & Theatre Arts (Photography) from Montana State University in 2007 and MFA in Art from University of Arizona in 2012. I have been a practicing visual artist since then. I also taught art at the college level from 2012-2020

While attending the AIAR program, I am seeking to better understand what it means to support an artist's practice - professionally, socially, emotionally, or otherwise. Specifically, I am exploring the efficacy of collaborative, community-oriented projects in relation to artists' personal journeys through their respective fields. Ultimately, my goal is to build inclusive, sustainable support structures for artists while they endeavor to maintain our visual culture.
