Keyania Campbell

Ph.D. Candidate

Keyania is an ethnographer and interdisciplinary artist whose work explores sonic memory, cultural resilience, and emerging media. Her practice is grounded in hip-hop’s traditions of storytelling, skill, and reverence. As the first graduate of the Applied Intercultural Arts Research MA program, she now builds on that foundation in her PhD, focusing on the role of sound in preserving and re-imagining Black Southern life.
